Star Plus’ longest running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been one of the most loved shows on the channel. The show has been the longest running show on Star Plus and continues to enjoy a massive popularity even after running for more than a decade.

Well, recently, the show found itself in a massive controversy after the lead face, aka, Shehzada Dhami and the parallel lead, Pratiksha Honmukhe were terminated from the show owing to ‘unprofessional behaviour.’ This was stated in an official press release circulated by the production house.

While the show became the talk of the town over night, curiosity levels peaked when the news of Rohit Purohit and Garvita Sidhwani being roped in as the new Armaan and Ruhi circulated. Fans of the show were eager to witness Rohit as the new Armaan. And rightly so, the audience, who had accepted Shehzada as Armaan Poddar found it difficult to accept Rohit as the new face of the show. And looks like, this has directly affected the numbers of the show. While the show has seen no significant drop in the ratings, all the curiousity and the controversy too has failed to fetch numbers for the show, keeping it intact on the fourth position this week too.
